At AFSH our innovative chick production techniques through the Special Insemination Process (SIP) have given us the edge and competitive advantage when compared to other producers. Parent stocks that produce the fertile eggs are caged from day one which means that these birds have a lesser risk of infections that can be transferred to the chicks through the parent and fertile egg infections are mostly picked from the environment.
From the hatchery gate to the hatching of the eggs into chicks, biosecurity procedures that meet international standards are strictly adhered to. The hatchery is sanitized, rested, and re-sanitized to ensure that Day Old Chick's (DOC's) produced is free from hatchery-related diseases; giving the chicks a good start.
